Digger the Elf is one of the few in community that really prefers to work all the time and goes out of his way to stay away from the crowds.  His younger brother Howdy went the family-man route but Digger could never find anyone willing to work as hard and for as many hours a day as he did.   

History claims elves are very good at tending sick animals, but Digger only relates to his shovel and hard work, which seems to scare the wildlife. 

Digger is happy as he can be, especially being the uncle and grand-uncle of so many in the family.  He can see them when he wants and on his schedule but never has to stay long.  When neices and nephews become troublesome, it's all too easy for him to say work is calling and he's out the door in a flash. 

Digger deserves a spot in your yard... probably off to the side and out of the way of all the other active elves.
